About Program
DFIncBackup is the personal backup program for backup
and restore user files.
Now it have next features:
- Incremental backup of user files. It save only changed files and
make backup size smaller.
- Split big backup archives into several volumes, if capacity of
removable disk is not enough for writing whole archive.
- For removable disks, which can write only by special program, it
have possibility save disk image in user selected directory.
- Easy archives management. For example, archive manager showing
archives, which not saved to removable disks, with bold font.
- Support several backup folders on different hard disk volumes.
- Quick add needed files to project by using shapes for concrete
program (for example MS Word).
- Support edit & create shapes for backup applications and data.
- One project can include several folders from different hard disk
volumes.
- Flexible tuning of archiving folders: "All" or
"Selected file types", exclude file types, criteria for
select changed files (by date, by size, by content), include/exclude
hidden files, disable/enable archive open files.
- Subfolders tuning like root folders.
- Easy view including files list in project editor by folders tree.
- Smart scheduler support different time conditions (for example
"Last day of month") and wait event for executing after
backup of other specified project is finished.
- Restart scheduled task (project backup), if some errors occurred.
- Log file viewer for easy navigate and search.
- Using full compatible ZIP files format
for archives. You can extract files by any ZIP archivator, for
example WINZIP.
- Limitation of simultaneous backup task executing (only for
scheduled tasks)
- Intelligent backup folders management: limitation by archive size
or free space on volume, it allow automatically swap to next volume
of hard disk.
In future versions, following important additions are
planned:
- Executing as service on WinNT/Win2000/WinXP
- Plugins for backup specific data formats, as mail, databases, etc.
- Self extracting archives support.
