Configuration dialog parameters
Open configuration window by select menu item "File | Configuration" or click
on toolbar button 
Configuration window contain several sheets:.
1) Main parameters
2) Safety
3) File types list
4) Disk drives
5) External CD writer program
Main parameters
This sheet contain all critical parameters.
- "Backup" folder location - contain full path to folder, which using for
archives storing. User can change it manually or tune it for automatically
change location, when current disk partition is full or reach limit of
summary archive size ("Limit archive size").
- Last copy local save:
a) Limit archive size - if checked, summary archives size will limit by free space or archive size
(see next parameter). Size of limit enter in megabytes.
b) Save only last year, quater, month, week - if checked, saved archives
will be erased if checkbox "Enable save on another partition, when current is
full" is unchecked.
c) Enable save on another partition, when current is full - if checked, when limit is
exceeded, program try tune backup folder location to next disk patition. If this operation
failed, new archives will not create till user remove old archives (any limit setting) or
other files (only for "free space" limit setting).
- Running option:
a) Limit max amount of simultaneously tasks executed - if checked, limit max backup tasks
amount, which started by internal scheduler. Manually started tasks not limit.
b) Program priority - This option only for advanced users. It change program running
priority. This parameter can be: Normal (by default), Low, Lowest.
- Temporary folder location (location of folder for temporary files):
a) Windows temp - use windows temp folder
b) Backup folder - use current "Backup folder"
c) User defined - use user defined folder as temporary
- Logging:
a) Limit backup log file - restriction of growing backup log file
in kilobytes
b) Limit configuration log file - restriction of growing configuration
log file in kilobytes
Safety
This sheet contain safety parameters:
- Show error message window:
a) Disable - error message window never show, even if some error will occur.
b) Periodically, every N minutes - if some error occured, error message window
will show every
N minutes
c) Once per day, when program start - if some error occured, error message window
will show
when program start first time on this day
d) Every program start - if some error occured, error message window will
show every time, when
program start
- Broken saving of archive:
a) Try execute task next time - internal scheduler automatically wait some time and try
execute failed backup task again
b) Stop and disable task - internal scheduler disable task and don't try start it in
future.
- Test removable disk copy (NOT REALIZED yet):
a) After write each disk - after write each removable disk, saved archives test
by checksum.
b) After write all disk of backup set - after end of writing all removable disks, saved
archives test by checksum.
c) Disable - don't check archives (by default)
- Erase content of removable disk before write:
a) Ask before erase - if removable disk is't empty, ask user for clear it.
b) Always erase - if removable disk is't empty, clear it without user confirmation.
c) Disable - don't try clear disk
File types list
This sheet allow manage file shapes (detail see create and edit
file shapes):
- FileShape file - current file shape, which settings is showing on this sheet
- Description - description of current file shape
- Button "New" - create new file shape
- Button "Remove" - remove current file shape
- Sheet "Include files" - list of filemask of including files:
a) Combobox "Select include mode" - define method of including files (Selected
files, All)
b) Checkbox "Include sub folders" - include sub folders into archive
- Sheet "Exclude files" - list of filemask of excluding files
Disk drives
This sheet allow manage removable disk drives & writeable CDROM:
- Checkbox "Enable auto detect removable disk drives" - if checked, list of available removable
disk drives and CDROMs will collect every time, when program start.
Note: permanent disk drives (which have unchecked
"Auto detect" checkbox) is't check for presence and properties.
- Button "Detect" - this button initiate collect list of available removable
disk drives and CDROMs
- Button "Property" - open property window for selected disk drive.
For edit disk drive properties:
- Select disk drive in list.
- Press button "Property" or double click left mouse button.
- Check "Use for default", if you want use this removable drive as default for
write archives.
- Select "Auto detect", if you need it.
Remove this check, if need permanently save you setings:
a) Size - enter size one of methods: in bytes (1 457 500), in kilobytes (1200 KB), in
megabytes (700 MB).
b) Direct write - check it, if disk can write directly, i.e. for example from explorer, MS
WORD, ets.
c) Enable - uncheck it, if you want disable write archives by this drive.
- Press OK for save changes.
External CD writer
program
This sheet need for tune external program for write CD.
- Select type of external program:
a) Adaptec Easy CD Creator
b) CeQuadrat WinOnCD
c) Other - user must specify "Program path" parameter
- Program path - path to external program.
Note: If in previous step you select a) OR b) option, it
set automatically.
- Check free disk space on CD before make disk image - if check it, program try get
free space on CD (first in set), which must be inserted in drive.
- Disk Image path - path to folder which will use for storing disk images,
which can be used be external CD writer program.
